Dearly Beloved!
"Dearly beloved are you listening? I can't remember a word that you were saying. Are we demented or are am I disturbed? The space that's in between insane and insecure. Oh therapy, can you please fill the void? Am I retarded or am I just overjoyed? Nobody's perfect and I stand accused, for lack of a better word, and that's my best excuse" Green Day-"Jesus of Suburbia"
That's right, I'm back and as lost as ever! A computer and a liscense to surf!
I want to start by saying that Green Day ought to retire! Because I don't see how they can ever top "American Idiot"! I just listened to it today after a few months of not hearing it, and it is INCREDIBLE! PERFECT! I think it could be the "Pyromania" (Def Leppard) or "Appetite For Destruction" (Guns N Roses) of the 80's or the "Nevermind" (Nirvana) or "Ten" (Pearl Jam) of the 90's! Not that any of those are necessarily my favorites but the effect that they had on a population, and on an era is phenomenal! And I think "American Idiot" has had, and will continue to have that same impact, for futures to come! I think twenty years from now classic rock stations will be playing, "Holiday" and "Boulevard Of Broken Dreams" like those stations of today play "Pinball Wizard", "Iron Man", or "Smoke On The Water"! If you have not heard this disc in a while I highly recommend dusting it off and giving it a listen! And if you've never heard "American Idiot" you need to come out of the cave you've been living in and as soon as your eyes adjust to the light run to the nearest music store and pick it up! GREEN DAY ROCKS! And this is definitely their best!
"As my memory rests, but never forgets what I lost, Wake Me Up When September Ends" Green Day-"Wake me up when September ends"
Til, next time......Rock On!
